LI couple in Haiti during quake home safe

A couple is back on Long Island after their dream vacation to Haiti turned into a nightmare when the catastrophic earthquake hit.

Jeff Saint Gerard and Gina Boccio were in Haiti for a family reunion. They had just driven through Port Au Prince to the home of Saint Gerard's mother when the quake struck. That home collapsed.

"Only God saved us and that is the reason we are here," says Saint Gerard.

The two were shuttled out of the ravaged country several days later aboard a U.S. Coast Guard plane.

Immigration has informed the couple visas cannot currently be obtained for their relatives. Saint Gerard is now gathering supplies he hopes to deliver to his family.
