Huntington Station man killed in front of son

Police are looking for the men responsible for killing a Huntington Station father in front of his son Sunday night.

Homicide detectives say Geremias Caceres and his teenage son were walking to their home on 10th Avenue just before 10 p.m. when three men came at them from behind. Caceres was shot in the stomach, police say, and then taken to Huntington Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say it appears the motive was robbery and that at least two of the men were armed. Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
