Cops: LI doc nabbed trying to buy cocaine

Police say a doctor and a nursing assistant were arrested Monday after engaging in a drug deal at a Massapequa gas station.

Cops say they witnessed 53-year-old Eliot Danziger, of Brookville, purchasing cocaine from 45-year-old Kelly Coleman, of North Babylon, at a Getty station on North Broadway.

Danziger is an ear, nose and throat doctor with practices in Levittown, Massapequa and Flushing. Investigators say Coleman is a nursing assistant at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.

Danziger is charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and Coleman faces charges of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Both were released without bail.
