NY Youth Club under fire again for fundraising

A Centereach man is facing 11 counts of child endangerment for allegedly leaving teens out alone in the cold as part of a fundraising effort Saturday night.

Police say Jule Huston Jr. dropped 11 teens near Hempstead Turnpike and Carl Avenue in Franklin Square to sell candy. Huston is a supervisor with a fund-raising company called New York Youth Club.

The youth group says the children had ID cards and were wearing reflective vests and warm clothing. The club says it has done nothing wrong and feels it is being targeted.

Rev. E. Edward Robinson, with the New York Youth Club, says the group is filing a lawsuit against the Nassau County Police Department.
