Massive snowstorm threatening LI beaches

If this past fall?s storm wasn?t enough to batter Long Island?s beaches, Wednesday?s massive winter nor?easter is doing some serious damage to the coast as well.

Gil Hanse, coordinator of emergency preparedness for the Town of Babylon, says he's prepared for the worst in terms of beach erosion.

The coastal storm could also bring flooding on the North Shore in areas like New York Avenue in Huntington. Residents say someone always tries to drive through anyway.

Officials are expecting moderate beach erosion form Manhattan all the way out to Montauk Point during the peak of the storm.
