Some LIers irked by lack of plows on streets

Islip and Levittown residents are complaining that their local roadways haven't been plowed since Wednesday's massive storm.

"I haven't seen a plow all day, so it's just me and the snow," says Bob Sholl, of Levittown.

Similar complaints also came from Bay Shore, where on Wednesday town officials told News 12 they have a GPS system to track every plow and every snowy street.

Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray promises DPW crews will not stop working until every local road is clear.

Meanwhile, fire rescue and emergency services are urging homeowners to clear out fire hydrants in the neighborhoods that haven't been plowed.
