Smithtown vows quick fix after plow hits car

A Kings Park woman says she?s been left in the lurch after a Town of Smithtown snow plow smashed into her car, leaving it unusable.

Tara Anderson says the plow driver slammed into the back of her 1999 Saturn and cracked the back window Tuesday. The damage totaled $500, according to an estimate.

The town told Anderson it would take up to six weeks to investigate and process her claim.

When News 12 Long Island?s Andrew Ehinger spoke directly to Smithtown Supervisor Patrick Vecchio, he got a different answer. Vecchio now says he will get involved and ensure a quick resolution.
