1 dead, 1 wounded in Brentwood shooting

Police are investigating a double shooting in Brentwood that left one man dead and another man in critical condition Wednesday.

According to authorities, 20-year-old David Sandler, of Brentwood, and friend Aaron Golan were gunned down on Timberline Drive at around 8 p.m.

Sandler's mother blames her son's death on MS-13. She says the gang was after the 19-year-old, and she even asked the probation board to let Sandler relocate upstate, but her request was denied.

Police say they are investigating four other similar incidents in Brentwood, including the November shooting of 15-year-old Christopher Hamilton on American Boulevard.
