Fishermen protest federal catch limits in D.C.

Fishermen from Long Island rallied in Washington Wednesday against fishing regulations.

The group of local anglers and thousands of fishermen from around the country say federal regulations continue to shorten the fishing season and limit the size of fish they can catch. Such rules are putting fishermen out of business, protesters argue.

"It?s not a good idea to take a law that was designed to help fishermen have better lives and use it to put fishermen out of business," Long Island fisherman Joe Vanderdelt says.
