Police: Man fatally stabbed in Brentwood

A man in his 20s was stabbed to death during an altercation in Brentwood early Saturday morning, police say.

According to authorities, a man stabbed the unidentified victim multiple times in the upper body at around 3 a.m. on Gates Avenue. The suspect was accompanied by two women, police say.

Police have yet to establish a motive behind the stabbing. Neighbors, however, believe the incident is drug-related.

A meeting to discuss violence in the community is scheduled for Wednesday at the Brentwood Public Library.
