Garden City mom charged in murder-for-hire

A Garden City mother accused of hiring a hit man to kill her husband was arraigned Friday.

Susan Williams, 43, was arrested Thursday after police say she met with an undercover Nassau County detective she thought was a hit man.

Authorities say Williams handed the undercover officer a picture of her husband and a $500 deposit for the alleged $20,000 hit.

Williams? attorney says his client may have been abused by her husband and promised a lot of twists and turns in the case.

Susan Williams faces second-degree criminal solicitation and conspiracy charges. She could face 25 years in prison. She is being held on $1 million bond.
