Mother-in-law killer pleads guilty to 2nd plot

A man already convicted of killing his mother in-law admitted Wednesday to trying to have another relative killed as well.

Harpal Hira pleaded guilty to a murder-for-hire plot in the attempted killing of his sister-in-law, who was set to testify at his murder trial. Hira admits trying to arrange her death from behind prison bars.

The Hicksville man was previously convicted in the 2008 stabbing death of Meena Kohli.

Hira faces 50 years on the murder count and another seven for the murder-for-hire case. He will be sentenced at the end of April.
