91-year-old cashier robbed in E. Northport

Police are searching for the man who attacked and robbed a 91-year-old cashier at a Rite Aid in East Northport Thursday.

Flo Critelli, of Commack, says a man walked over to her counter to buy a candy bar. As she opened her register, the customer reached into her cash drawer.

When Critelli grabbed the robber's hand, he punched her in the chest and ran off with a fistful of bills.

Despite the robbery, the plucky 92-year-old, who works 35 hours a week, finished her seven-hour shift.

"They told me I should call my son and have him pick me up," Critelli says. "I said, 'no, I'm going to drive.'"
