Brentwood Spanish-speakers address violence

A community meeting in Brentwood was held in Spanish Wednesday night so more residents can voice their concerns about recent violence.

Stabbings and shootings have claimed six lives in the past six months. Community leaders blame street gangs for the violence.

A meeting earlier this month drew so many residents that some had to be turned away.

The meeting was held at the Long Island Portuguese American Center in Brentwood.
