Rain submerges roads in parts of LI

? Wild overnight weather caused flooding across parts of Long Island Tuesday.

Officials say Route 111 in Hauppauge was pumped out and eventually closed due to flooding.

Route 25A in Smithtown was also hit hard by the wind and rain. Officials say some roads were under water in many communities, including Southampton, Lindenhurst and Patchogue.
