Police search for suspect in Long Beach murder

Police are searching for a killer who gunned down a Long Beach man Monday afternoon.

Officials say 46-year-old Ernest Cummings was killed in front of his house on East Hudson Street.

Police believe the incident was not a random shooting and that there was a problem between the victim and another individual.

Neighbors say Cummings bred pit bulls and that his dogs meant everything to him. Some believe it may have been an argument about dogs that got him killed.

Family members say right before Cummings was shot, he saw someone walking pit bulls without leashes and told him the dogs should be wearing them.
