Tenants: Neglect worsened nor'easter damage
More than a dozen Lynbrook families yet to return home after the recent nor'easter say their landlord shares the blame with Mother Nature.
The residents were initially displaced after a large tree was uprooted and slammed into their apartment building's roof. The tenants claim the landlord's failure to tarp over the roof puncture caused days of flooding inside the building.
Joe Becher, the landlord, declined to comment. The tenants are mulling legal action if Becher doesn't compensate them for their losses.
