LI towns challenge new MTA payroll tax

? Supervisors from seven Long Island towns announced Monday they are suing the state and MTA over the controversial new MTA payroll tax.

The massive lawsuit was announced at the Ronkonkoma train station.

Some Suffolk companies are complaining that the new tax costs them $15,000 to $20,000 a year during a deep recession. Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko calls the tax illegal.
