Pumps have been brought out from Nassau's North and South shores to Riverhead. Water on some area roadways has not yet receded, leaving some stranded.

?I would say it?s a mini-Katrina,? says George Trent, who has lived in Riverhead for 45 years. He says he?s never seen damage like it.

Officials say the shoreline has seen some of the worst erosion in more than a decade and fixing it could cost Long Island millions of dollars.
