Lynbrook police chief suspended

? The Village of Lynbrook?s top cop was recently suspended allegedly over the way he handled a fight with his girlfriend.

According to the district attorney?s office, Police Chief Joseph Neve argued with the woman on March 13. Police were called to the woman?s home.

Lynbrook Mayor Brian Curran suspended Neve last week without pay until April 12.

A spokeswoman for the district attorney?s office says no criminality was involved in the chief?s actions.
