Plane overshoots runway at Montauk Airport

(AP) - A single engine plane overshot a runwaywhile landing at Montauk Airport and crashed through a fence beforecoming to a stop on a street.

No injuries were reported in the mishap on Runway 24 just before6 p.m. Saturday.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Holly Baker saidonly the pilot was aboard the Cessna and that the fence was theonly property damaged.

She says the accident was apparently caused by bad weather.
