Police: Man shoots brother with bow and arrow

A Wyandanch man was hospitalized and his brother arrested after the latter allegedly shot his sibling with a bow and arrow.

Police say 55-year-old Benjamin Austin took aim at his brother from a window on the second floor of the home they share with their father. The arrow pierced his chest through his clothing, according to authorities.

There is no known motive in the bow and arrow shooting, though police say it may have been accidental. The victim was treated at a local hospital.

Austin is charged with reckless assault.
