Suffolk police officer hurt after cruiser crash

? A Suffolk police officer was hurt in the line of duty after a cruiser crash last night.

The incident happened on Route 110 and Broadway in Huntington Station just before midnight.

Cops say an officer spotted someone running a red light and when he went to pull over the car another driver hit him.

The officer suffered minor back injuries. Investigators say he did have his lights and siren on.

The other driver is not facing any charges.
