Cops: NCC receives threatening letters

? Officials say someone left threatening letters about staff and students at Nassau Community College yesterday.

Detectives say faculty members of the nursing program found the letters on a desk. The letters were racially offensive, according to Nassau police.

NCC Spokesman Reginald Tuggle says the school sent out e-mails, put a notification on its website and put up posters about the threat

?We're talking to faculty and staff. We're contacting the police,? Tuggle says. ?There's an ongoing investigation here. We've beefed up security here in a number of ways.?
