Convicted sex offender accused in new attack

? A Level 2 sex offender from Wheatley Heights is accused in another attack.

Ned Barnes, 25, was arrested Sunday after cops say he inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl in November.

Police say when the teen pushed him away, Barnes exposed himself and performed a sexual act on himself in front of her. He then allegedly sent pictures of himself to the victim from his phone.

Barnes was on probation for raping a 14-year-old student while he was a teaching assistant at Westbury Middle School in 2007. After serving less than three months in jail, he was set free.

Barnes pleaded not guilty to forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse.
