Central figure in Tankleff case charged
A central figure in the former Martin Tankleff case was arraigned today on weapons charges.
Suffolk cops searched the home of Joseph Creedon in Selden yesterday. Police say he fired a shotgun into the ground outside his house.
Creedon's son claims his dad admitted to murdering the Tankleffs in their Belle Terre home in 1988.
Creedon is facing multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, prohibited use of a weapon, criminal contempt and disobeying a court order.
Martin Tankleff served more than 17 years behind bars for his parents murders before a court overturned his conviction.
