LI hero killed in combat laid to rest

Mourners filled the streets in Wantagh today to say a final farewell to Sgt. Jason Santora.

Officials say the 25-year-old Army Ranger from Farmingville died after a firefight with insurgents in Afghanistan last month.

During the ceremony, Santora's family and friends described him as funny, outspoken, dedicated and a true American hero.

Santora was laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery. He was buried with full military honors.
