Alleged 'hit mom' smacked with new charges

A Garden City mom was indicted on new charges today in connection with allegedly trying to hire a hit man to kill her husband.

Susan Williams, 43, is already charged with conspiracy and is accused of trying to hire an undercover cop who she thought was a hit man to kill her husband.

Today, Williams was charged with criminal solicitation and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Officials say she forged her husband's signature to make her the sole inheritor of his life insurance policy.

Her bail was doubled to $2 million bond or $1 million cash and she is in police custody.

Prosecutors say they have audio and videotapes of Williams talking to the man she thought was going to carry out the murder.

She is due back in court the end of the month.
