On her day, a tough time for Bay Shore mom

Mother's Day was bittersweet for a Bay Shore mom who saw her only child off to Iraq yesterday.

"I know he's doing the right thing, but it hurts for a mom, especially taking him on Mother's Day," says Brunie Torres, about her son Albert Pabon. "It's very, very hard."

Pabon won't be back from Iraq until next June, but has promised to keep in touch with his mother via e-mail and phone calls.
