FBI conducts searches in Times Square probe

(AP) - The FBI says agents have executed search warrantsat several locations in the Northeast in connection with the failedTimes Square car bombing.

An FBI spokeswoman says the searches were the product ofevidence gathered in the investigation and that there is "no knownimmediate threat to the public or any active plot against theUnited States."

FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkiewicz would not confirm anyaddresses, but police have cordoned off a small house at WaverleyAve. in Watertown, a suburb about 10 miles west of Boston.

Watertown Police have referred comment to the FBI.

Marcinkiewicz says two people have been taken into custody onalleged immigration violations in connection with the raids.
