Residents rally for William Floyd H.S. budget
Community members protested in Shirley yesterday, trying to convince their neighbors to approve the William Floyd High School budget.
Residents who joined the rally say that despite the budget calling for 150 staff layoffs, including 60 teachers, without a budget the students will suffer immensely.
If the budget doesn't pass, a contingency plan goes into effect which cuts some jobs, sports, clubs and music programs.
The vote will be held on Tuesday.
