Cigar store owners fuming over proposed increase in taxes

? Cigar store owners are concerned over Gov. Paterson?s state budget proposal to raise the tobacco tax from 46 percent to 90 percent.

The proposed tax only covers cigars, pipe tobacco and chewing tobacco.

An official says the tobacco tax is currently 46 percent and was already raised from last year's 37 percent.
