Resident: Air gun shop putting family at risk

A Lake Ronkonkoma woman says an air gun business located next door to her home is putting her family's safety at risk.

Cindy Singleton says not only does her family hear a constant popping noise coming from the air gun range, but she says she found small metal and plastic BBs in her backyard where her children play.

Cobra Air Guns owner Dave Foltmann says the range located behind his store is used infrequently by employees adjusting the scopes on customers' air guns. Foltmann also says there's a 10-foot fence around the range.

Brookhaven town officials are planning on voting on air guns and paintball guns at a council meeting tonight.
