Nassau holds forum on home foreclosures

With home foreclosures on the rise on Long Island, Nassau County gathered some of the top experts in the field and held a foreclosure forum today to help struggling homeowners.

According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Long Island home foreclosures are twice as high compared to the national average.

During the forum, experts gave advice on what homeowners can do to keep their homes.

Panelist and credit counselor Scott Nigro says one of the best things someone facing foreclosure can do is seek professional financial help.
