Long Beach accused of illegally dumping construction debris

The City of Long Beach is accused of illegal dumping.

According to Newsday, the state says the city dumped a load of construction debris near Reynolds Channel and now it must be removed.

City manager Charles Theofan says the charges are not true. Theofan claims they put the construction debris there to control flooding after the March Nor'easter.
