NY Dems load up ballot for attorney general post

New York Democrats nominated five candidates for attorney general today as they wrapped up the second day of their convention.

All five will appear on the ballot for primary voters in September. The nominees include Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice.

Rice greeted supporters outside the convention and stated her case to be elected.

?My record is very strong in terms of reform, in terms of accountability and transparency and that's what we need right now,? Rice says. ?And so I think my record is one that's going to resonate with voters all across the state.?

U.S. Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand were also officially nominated to run for their seats.
