Able-Ride cuts go into effect

? The MTA is no longer providing door-to-door bus service for some handicapped riders in Nassau.

The Able-Ride service has been slashed for those who live three-quarters of a mile or less from a bus stop in the county.

Some disabled riders say they will now be left with no way to get to work, school or their doctors.

Able-Ride services to be discontinued

sorry to interrupt
