Spectators pack Jones Beach for annual air show

Nothing says Memorial Day weekend on Long Island like dozens of planes soaring in intricate patterns over Jones Beach.

Like every year, thousands of Long Islanders turned out today for the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show.

The nearly 150,000 spectators who packed the boardwalk and beach marveled at the pilots' ability to do complex flips and twists in the sky. People took pictures and watched in awe as the Red Bull Air Force skydivers touched down on the sand.

One of the most anticipated acts of the day was the Blue Angles, and spectators say they did not disappoint.
