Police: Bay Shore woman fatally stabbed boyfriend
A Bay Shore woman is accused of fatally stabbing her live-in boyfriend with a kitchen knife Sunday night.
Police say 51-year-old Raedel Hawkins stabbed Scott Beverly in the chest during an argument just before 7 p.m. at their First Avenue home. The argument started over a television show, authorities say.
Beverly, 52, died at the hospital.
Police say Hawkins had an order of protection against Beverly that went into effect three years ago, but he still lived in the house. Hawkins' daughter, however, says Beverly was not living there.
Hawkins is charged with first-degree manslaughter.
