Fallen Heroes - Memorial Marathon

A Coast Guard reservist from Lindenhurst has found an unusual way to honor those who've made the ultimate sacrifice.

Petty Officer Chris Delaney ran the Long Island Half Marathon in combat boots and 60 pounds of battle gear. Delaney is fighting to raise awareness about the human toll of war. He says he runs the race to honor his friend Army Specialist Joseph Dwyer, of Mount Sinai. Dwyer died after losing his battle with post traumatic stress disorder.

This year, Delaney finished the 13.1-mile race in three-and-a-half hours.
