Police: Driver in fatal crash was not licensed

Police say one of the drivers involved in Sunday?s fatal crash in Oyster Bay did not have a license and was speeding.

According to police, 23-year-old Israel Maldonado didn't have a license and was driving 76 mph before slamming into a Jeep. Maldonado, his passenger and the driver of the Jeep were killed.

The driver of the Jeep has been identified as 38-year-old Peter Sherlock, of East Norwich.

While witnesses say police chased Maldonado's car just before the crash, investigators say there was no official pursuit because they don?t know if Maldonado knew he was being followed.
