Conn. officer from LI charged with disorderly conduct

A Connecticut police officer from Seaford has been charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly behaving inappropriately during a traffic stop in May.

A Norwalk, Conn. woman claims Officer Paul Mabey showed her a picture of his genitals after he pulled her over for driving while talking on a cell phone.

The Stamford Police Association president says Mabey has been a good worker for 14 years, but there was enough evidence to convince a judge of probable cause.

The Stamford Police Department says Mabey has been suspended from active duty since the complaint was filed last week. Police say an internal investigation will be launched once the criminal probe is complete.
