Melville?s fire chief was injured in a crash Tuesday while he was on his way to a fire in Farmingdale.

Police say the chief had his lights and sirens on when he was driving to the fire at Two Brothers Scrap Metal on Central Avenue. When he turned onto Route 110, his SUV collided with a car and flipped, according to authorities.
