Carle Place teen charged with arson, vandalism

A teenager from Carle Place was arrested yesterday and charged with burglarizing an office building under renovation and setting it ablaze, Newsday reports.

Police say 17-year-old James Rosario broke into a vacant building on Cherry Lane in Carle Place last Thursday. Rosario allegedly smashed several windows, then piled up construction materials and torched the house.

According to Newsday, Rosario is facing third-degree burglary, third-degree arson and second-degree criminal mischief charges.
