Dems say they have funding to revive Able-Ride

Democratic lawmakers said yesterday that millions in unused retirement pay could help save the county?s Able-Ride bus service. Nassau County Legislator Diane Yatauro says the unused pay totals $26 million. County Executive Ed Mangano criticized Yatauro, claiming she previously voted to cut funding for the door-to-door service and is using the issue as a political football.
