Police search for driver in fatal hit-and-run

Police are looking for a driver of a fatal hit-and-run in Copiague.

Investigators say a Toyota Avalon hit 27-year-old Natalio Mosso and left him to die near Copiague High School around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the suspect ditched the car that was involved in the crash about a block away from where the victim was struck.

The car has a Washington State license plate, according to officials.

Police say Mosso was pronounced dead on the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
