Volunteers flock to reality show recruiting

Long Islanders flocked to the Long Island Ducks stadium in Central Islip last night to volunteer for an episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

The show, which uses volunteers to completely renovate a family's home in one week, will tackle a Suffolk County house next week.

Among those companies that had representatives at the recruitment event was Allure Home Improvement.

Milan Vasic, the senior producer of the show, says the reception has been phenomenal and many people have already signed up to help.

The show will tape next week and air in the fall.
