11-year-old boy drowns in Bay Shore pool

Officials say 11-year-old Tre-Zon P'Lindor drowned Thursday afternoon in Bay Shore.

P'Lindor was found at the bottom of a pool on Millay Lane.

Police say P'Lindor could not swim and was told he could not go in the water unless his friend's mom or dad was home. Officials say he didn't listen and jumped into the pool anyway.

P'Lindor's friend pulled him out of the water while the brother called 911 and tried to revive him, according to authorities. P'Lindor passed away a short time later.

This is third drowning in a backyard pool this season on Long Island.
