Reality show giving E. Setauket family a new home

An East Setauket family?s new home, courtesy of ABC?s ?Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,? is set to be completed next week.

The reality show producers selected the Lutz family of Ringneck Lane. The couple has taken in adopted 18 children. Seven of the children have Down syndrome.

News 12 Long Island originally reported about the Lutz family in 2003 when Kathleen gave up her career to care for her siblings with Down syndrome after their parents passed away.

The Lutz family's neighbors say they are thrilled the family is getting the makeover.
