Police search for serial bank robber

Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a Bank of America in Lynbrook yesterday afternoon.

Police say a man wearing a striped shirt allegedly handed the bank teller a note saying he had a gun and intended on robbing the bank.

Investigators say they believe the same man robbed three other banks in Nassau County this month.

However, this time, authorities say the robber walked away empty-handed after the teller returned the note with nothing inside.

Police ask anyone who may recognize the man to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
